Terms of Service
1. The service
SayCompute is software for small shops: login, ingest your books, then ask for reports in plain language. The first app is bookkeeping. Other apps may be added under the plan you choose. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service while your account is in good standing.
2. Who may use it
You must be able to form a contract in the United States and register with a real name, unique user name, and email you control. You confirm that email before the account is active. Social sign-in (Google, Apple, Microsoft) is only for an email that is already registered. You are responsible for everyone you invite into your shop’s workspace.
3. Accounts and shops
One shop’s books stay on that shop. You may not share a login. You must keep credentials and recovery mail under your control. If you invite staff, you decide who can open which app on the unlimited plan. You remain responsible for their use.
4. Your data
You own the data you ingest and the reports you generate from it. You license us to host, back up, and process that data only to run the service for you, including routing a prompt to an AI provider when you ask for a filter or a report. You must not upload data you do not have the right to use.
Business data is never reused. We do not use your business records, files, prompts, reports, or customer information to train AI, to build shared features, or to help other customers.
Configuration-only reuse. We may use how your workspace is configured — for example which apps, functions, fields, terminology, and settings you turn on — to improve the defaults SayCompute suggests to businesses in similar industries. Configuration used this way is combined across businesses, stripped of your name and records, and reviewed by people before it changes any shared default. It never changes your own settings, and it never publishes your data. This reuse is not active until this version completes legal review.
5. Acceptable use
Do not attempt to break isolation between shops, scrape other customers’ data, overload the service, or use SayCompute to store or send unlawful content. We may suspend an account that threatens the shared database or other customers.
6. Plans and payment
Bookkeeping-only may be offered at no charge. Paid plans are $39 per month for one app, $69 for up to five apps, and $129 for unlimited apps, billed through Stripe or PayPal when those credentials are live. Fees are prepaid for the term you select. We may change list prices with notice before the next term. Taxes are extra where required.
7. AI
Prompts may be sent to a third-party model. SayCompute suggests. You decide. Do not paste secrets, card numbers, or health records into a prompt unless you accept that the model provider will see them. Model output can be wrong. You remain responsible for the books.
Sera, the SayCompute assistant, answers business requests only. Requests outside business use are politely redirected. If a request appears to attack the service, bypass its protections, or reach another shop’s data, it is refused in full and a security report is kept for SayCompute staff. Security reports hold only metadata — such as the time, account, where the request came from, and the classifier result — never the text you typed or your business records. Staff review them and archive them by hand; they are not deleted automatically.
8. Availability
We aim to keep the app up. We do not promise uninterrupted service. A nightly maintenance window of up to thirty minutes may be used for schema and other work. We are not liable for lost profits, lost data beyond reasonable backups, or indirect damages. Our total liability for a claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months before the claim.
9. Cancellation
You may stop using the service at any time. We may close an account for breach, non-payment, or long inactivity after notice to the email on file. After closure we may delete hosted data on a schedule we publish in the Privacy Policy.
10. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, excluding conflict-of-law rules. Disputes are heard in state or federal court there, unless a later written agreement says otherwise.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. Each version is dated and numbered above. A change to this page, by itself, is not your agreement to a material change in how your data is used: we will notify the account owner by email before such a change applies, and where the law or these terms require your agreement, we will ask for it.
